Float Island

While investment furniture items often becomes cherished heirlooms, joinery typically faces replacement in renovation projects. By reimagining the island bench as a piece of furniture, it gains the flexibility to be relocated, sold, or passed down like other treasured possessions. The island bench explores an idea of kitchen elements as heirloom pieces.

This variation includes a stone top and with timber open timber shelves, but alternative materials can be discussed.
